Stanley Ollivier
Stanley Ollivier is a French-Caribbean multidisciplinary artist based in Brussels. Their artistic practice moves across dance, performance, sound, and radiophonic curation.
They began their studies in dance and musical theatre at the International Dance Academy of Paris (AID), before continuing their education in contemporary dance at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris (CNSMDP) and at P.A.R.T.S. in Brussels, where they obtained both a Bachelor and a Master of Arts in Dance.
Since graduating, Stanley Ollivier’s work has toured internationally across Europe. In 2021, they created PARADE, a duet exploring physical comedy and the entertainment industry, which premiered at Théâtre Mercelis in Brussels.
The same year, they began developing their first solo work, The Mirror Stand, a layered dance performance exploring identity and the performativity of everyday life. The piece premiered at Beursschouwburg in Brussels (BE).
In 2024, they presented in Théâtre Le Jacques-Franck (BE) Just a Taste, a textural choreographic solo conceived for hybrid spaces. During that year, they were nominated for the PrixFintroPrijs (BE) supporting young artists, in the category of Dance and Theatre.
In 2025, they premiered Spine of Desire: Wounds Without Tears, Out of One Skin in Diamonds and Shit at Kaaitheater in Brussels—a dance performance oscillating between fantasy and reality, opening a dreamlike space where rage and profound tenderness coexist.
For several years, Stanley Ollivier has been a member of The Iconic House of Ninja, mentored by Lasseindra Lanvin. Alongside their own creations, they have collaborated with numerous international artists and productions presented worldwide.
They performed in The Inhabitants (2018) by Ivan Perez at Heidelberg Dance Theatre, worked with Cie Tabea Martin in Switzerland for the production Geh nicht in den Wald, im Wald ist der Wald (2022), and appeared as a protagonist in TUKULEUR (2022), a short film by director and visual artist Brahim Tall.
They also collaborated with theatre maker Geert Belpaeme on Please Don’t Let Me Be (Mis)Understood (2023).
They are currently collaborating with Soa Ratsifandrihana on Fampitaha, Fampita, Fampitàna (2024), the second chapter of a diptych that began with the radiophonic work Rouge Cratère, and with Calixto Neto on Bruits Marrons (2025).
Extending their artistic practice beyond performance, Stanley Ollivier has also developed work in radio and DJing. They were a resident on Oroko Radio (Accra, Ghana) with their show Fugitive Tone, and performing across various international radios, festivals, and clubs.
They are also the co-founder of ENTWINED, a radiophonic collective dedicated to fostering international artistic exchange and creating bridges between artistic disciplines. ENTWINED held residencies at Kiosk Radio in Brussels (2023–2025) and Kaaitheater (2024–2026).
Through a journey that connects diverse practices and collaborative creation, Stanley Ollivier has developed a multifaceted artistic language, establishing themselves as a distinctive voice within the contemporary performing arts landscape.
